Dinner/Dance Cruise 2007

This was a dinner & dance cruise on Lake Michigan sponsored by the local Aurthur Murray studios. Here's John with Jen & Amy (2 instructors at the Schaumburg studio).

It was great dancing while we were on the Chicago River. But once we got into the wind and open water of the lake the boat rolled alot more. This made dancing.... interesting....
A few feet stepped on but still a lot of fun.

Once night came, it was a bit chilly with the wind.

A mini Tonado?

There was a storm that came thru the area with strong winds maybe even a small tornado.
It pulled the roof off of a nearby store. Backyard trampolines were found in neighbors front yards.

We had a few pieces of aluminum siding pulled off of our house. The wind was so stong that it took one of the pieces and rammed the small end so hard against the fence post that it wrapped around the fence post.

The wind also picked up our heavy metal lawn furniture and threw it around the yard. However, the light-weight plastic lamp next to the funiture went un-touched! Weird!

Trip to NYC

John had a business trip to New Jersey so he added on the weekend and I met him in Manhattan.
We spent the weekend just wandering the city. One of my favorite cities to wander!

We also went to John's first play on Broadway. (You can see plays elsewhere but nothing is the same as seeing one on Broadway.)

We went to Spamalot. Since it was based on the Monty Python movies and John had seen many times, he was whispering the dialog and songs along with the actors!
